“Hollywood with a touch of twang. To be a star you gotta bang bang bang. Bend those strings till the Hank comes out. Make all the drunk girls scream and shout. We love it, we hate it, were all just trying to make it. In this Crazy Town.” -Jason Aldean
That song has nothing to do with this post besides the fact that its about Nashville.
In just a couple of days my lovely city is going to be taken over by bloggers.
And I'm not complaining, mainly because Ill be one of the crazies at Opryland Hotel. As I was driving by the hotel on my way home tonight, I realized how much I take it for granted.
I take this amazing place I live in for granted.
Living here, I don't always see the beauty that surrounds this place. The wonderful people, food, and places that make Nashville what it is.
So if your heading here at the end of this week and you have a little bit of free time--I'm willing to share some of my insider knowledge on some of the fun to be had here in this amazing and beautiful city of mine.
1. Broadway and/or 2nd Avenue
THE place to be on a weekend night. With the big bars that are always overcrowded, and the small little hole-in-the-wall country bars, your sure to have a blast. My favorite bars?
The Big Bang: Dueling pianos that play hit songs your sure to recognize. Always crowded so get there early.
The Stage: If your looking for good music, the possibility to see a country music star {I met my husband--Dierks Bentley one night}, and good country vibes this is the place to be.
WannaBe's: The best karaoke bar on Broadway for sure.
Coyote Ugly: Uh..hello?! Dancing on bars anyone?! I mean...not that I dance on bars.
McFadden's: Definitely a club vibe. I'm more into the bars but if you want to shake your ass and not feel like your being molested this is a good place to go.
2. Opryland Hotel
Duh.
3. Country Music Hall of Fame
4. Bravo Gelato
Its a family based business and there is one located inside the Opryland hotel. Trust me when I tell you--this Gelato is freaking faaaabulous!
5. Pancake Pantry
This is definitely one must-eat place. Their pancakes are to die for and the price is just right. Located in Hillsboro Village, after you eat you can meander around and shop in the cute vintage shops located across the street. Perfect if you have a later Sunday flight and are looking for something to do that morning.
These are just a few of the MANY amazing places located in Nashville.
I'm by no means an expert, but I definitely love my city and love sharing it with others.
Cant wait to see you guys at Blissdom in just a couple of days!!
Tweet me if you want to get a bite to eat or hang out around the hotel.
